Nasser Barghi

Dr. Nasser Barghi is Professor and Head of the Division of Esthetic Dentistry in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School, at San Antonio, Texas.

He has presented more than 650 didactic and hands-on clinic courses in over 30 countries.

Dr. Barghi has authored and co-authored over 250 articles and abstracts and has completed a great amount of research on bonding new esthetic materials and etched porcelain bonded restorations.

Dr. Barghi is a member of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics and the International Association for Dental Research. He is past president of the American Equilibration Society.

Dr Richard S Kahan

As well as working in his specialist practice in Harley Street, Richard is Senior Clinical Part-time lecturer in Endodontology at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute, University College London teaching endodontics to both postgraduate specialist students and general practitioners.

He has lectured nationally and has written many research papers for refereed journals. Richard's other interest is Information Technology and he is a consultant in dental IT integration. He has recently finished writing a clinical software programme called EndoBiz which is currently undergoing beta testing.

Mhari Coxon

Mhari has 20 years experience in dentistry in the UK, in a variety of practice and hospital environments. At present, she works as Senior Professional Relations Manager for Philips Oral Healthcare and clinically as a hygienist in central London.

A keen writer, Mhari is on the Publications Committee of Dental Health, the British Society of Hygienists and Therapists (BSDHT) Journal, has a conversational column in Dental Tribune and writes articles for many other publications and online sites. She is an Editorial Board member for DH&T.

From Chairing the London BSDHT for 3 years, and working as Managing Director of a training company; Mhari has worked in a variety of roles.  She is a sought after speaker and has lectured extensively in the UK and overseas

In 2006 she was the Probe Awards hygienist of the year, and was highly commended in 2010. 2011 saw her placed 15 in the Dentistry Top 50 most influential people in the UK.

Wyman Chan

As a dedicated teeth whitening dentist, Wyman has worked with all major home and power whitening systems. His innovative research in the field led to five UK granted patents on bleaching gel formulation, bleaching devices and methods of bleaching.

Through his unique combination of research and wet- handed experience on 1000's of patients, Wyman has discovered some important phenomena related to the texture of teeth. Using these findings, he developed some important protocols and metrics that improve our understanding of the safety, predictability and efficacy of teeth whitening processes.

He has many articles published including a chapter in the newly published Quintessence book - The Art of Treatment Planning - and is widely regarded as an expert in this field. He lectures internationally and runs regular hands-on power whitening seminars in London.

Prof Gianluca Gambarini

International lecturer and researcher, He is author of 450 scientific articles, three books and chapters in other books. He has lectured all over the world ( more than 300 presentations) and has been invited as a main speaker in the most important international( AAE, IFEA, ESE ) and national endodontic congresses in Europe, North and South America, Asia, Middle East, Australia and South Africa. He has also lectured in many Universities worldwide. He has focused his interests on endodontic materials and clinical endodontics. He is actively cooperating with many manufacturers all over the world to develop new technologies, operative procedures and materials for root canal treatment.

Fraser McCord

Fraser graduated from Edinburgh in 1970 and spent ten  years in a busy general dental practice in Falkirk.  He bagged DRD and Part 1 FDS while in practice and then migrated to be a Registrar in Restorative in Edinburgh Dental Hospital for two years when, after passing FDS Part 2.  After one year he was appointed a Lecturer in Prosthetic Dentistry in Edinburgh.

Fraser was awarded DDS (Edin) in 1986 and appointed Senior Lecturer / Hon Consultant at Manchester in 1989. He was then promoted to a Chair in Manchester in 1992 and Dean in 2002.

In 2006 Fraser migrated to Glasgow to the Chair of Restorative (to augment his accent!).  In 2008, he was awarded the Gold Medal of the BSSPD.

Fraser retired in 2010 but continues to lecture for fun.

Basil Mizrahi

Basil graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa in 1989. After qualifying with an MSc in Dentistry with a major in Periodontics in 1993, he left South Africa in 1995 to specialise for 3 years full time in Prosthodontics and Implant dentistry at Louisiana State University, USA.

Basil trained under the leadership of Dr Gerard Chiche, a leading world authority on aesthetic dentistry, while specialising also obtained a Masters degree in Education. Basil is fully recognised by the General Dental Council as a Specialist in Prosthodontics and Restorative dentistry.  He operates a full time referral private practice specialising in Complex Rehabilitation and Aesthetic Cases and Dental Implants and is an honorary Clinical Teacher at UCL Eastman Dental Institute as well as running hands-on “Advanced Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry” courses.  Basil publishes and lectures extensively both nationally and internationally and is on the Editorial Board of Quintessence International and is a diplomat of the “American Board of Prosthodontics.”

Ajay Kakar

Dr Ajay Kakar, Periodontist and Implantologist, in private practice in Mumbai is the current Secretary of the IAACD and the Vice President of the International Academy of Periodontology and a member of the Extended Board of the European Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stony Brook, SUNY – USA. Lecturing extensively around the globe satiates the urge to teach, travel and taste.

BITEIN and the IDO, his creations created a decade ago and are the fore runners of the Internet and Indian dentistry. He runs a number of CDE programs under the aegis of BITEIN providing the latest in dental education. The sojourn as the Editor of "Esthetic Expressions" was the catalyst for his ability to ink his thoughts on dentistry and otherwise. A passionate reader of a variety of subjects, of which "Objectivism - the philosphy of Ayn Rand" remains the backbone of his approach to life.

John Moore

Dr John Moore is a private GDP from Plymouth in Devon who uses Cerec for all his cosmetic smile makeovers, as well as single and multiple unit restorative projects . For eight years John has developed Cerec techniques and taught other dentists how to benefit from Digital dentistry and believes that Cerec is what makes his practice thrive financially, even in a very competitive and low income area.

A great fan of the recent Cerec software revolution and material developments, John feels that all cosmetic orientated practices can now learn high quality Cerec cosmetic techniques with ease, and benefit clinically and financially. His style is to teach practical advice and working techniques for busy practitioners who wish to embrace the advantages of digital dentistry. John became an ISCD Cerec Trainer inDubai in 2007 and with his brother Dr Paul Moore in Galway, Ireland has had articles published and spoken extensively on digital dentistry for practitioners.

Anthony Roberts

Anthony qualified from Birmingham Dental School with Honours in 1996 having also completed an Intercalated Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Physiology in 1993. Following completion of my primary dental degree, Anthony worked in General Dental Practice as a VDP and then in a variety of SHO positions in the West Midlands region. Subsequently I was appointed as a Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry in 1998 and completed my Fellowship in Dental Surgery in 1999.

Anthony’s main interest within Restorative Dentistry is Periodontology and he embarked on a clinical academic training programme which resulted in completion of his PhD thesis in 2006 entitled "Microbial Responses to Human Stress Hormones in Periodontal Disease" and his Specialist Training Programme in Restorative Dentistry in 2007.

Currently Anthony is Director of Undergraduate Education, Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at The School of Dentistry, University of Manchester.

Amit Patel

Amit is a Specialist in Periodontics practicing at Grace House Specialist Dental Centre in Birmingham. His special interests are dental implants, regenerative and aesthetic Periodontics. Amit graduated from the University of Liverpool and completed a 4 year specialist training programme in Periodontics at Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Dental Institute. Amit is also an Associate Specialist in Periodontics and an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Birmingham Dental School. He has taught at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including lecturing to dental practitioners both in the UK and internationally.

Matt McColley

Matt McColley, Group Corporate Business Manager for Software of Excellence, joined the company in April 2010, taking guru from virtually an unknown product to the first choice for patient education software and making sales in the UK, Holland, Italy, Germany, Australia and Dubai. Matt's background is in consultative selling and corporate account management.
